Sunday, October 30, 2011 at 6:03PM Christopher Ward C8 Pilot MKII Vintage Edition Final Review
Going into this review the C8 Pilot MKII is already in our Favorites list. It’s hard to think how much better it could get, especially with only a few cosmetic updates. The Vintage Edition not only looks good, but also carries the same great features that Ward has already packed into it as well as a historic look.

The C8 Pilot from Christopher Ward is already one of our favorites. You’d think that it would be pretty hard to top yourself on a watch that we already like, but CW has managed to accomplish this. The new Vintage Edition in the C8 Pilot line takes all of the old watch design of the original pilot watches and infuses it with modern watch making in a beautiful (or should I say handsome) color combination.

Can a watch have all functions under on one dial? Well the Bremont ALT1-Z gets pretty darn close packing in a chronograph, GMT, inner rotating bezel and a date feature. Wrapped in an aviation inspired dial and a three piece metal case, this looks to be a good recipe.

When it comes to watches under $300USD you usually end up in the quartz category. But Techne has now introduced their new Goshawk automatic that manages to land well south of the $300USD mark with a great array of strap options and a Japanese movement.

Torgoen is one of my favorite watch brands for their blend of styling cues from other aviation watch companies, Swiss movements, and attainable pricing. The T16 is a step-up from the T10 that we took a look at last week with the addition of a chronograph feature.

The Torgoen T10 caught my eye when I was looking for a Bell & Ross styled Aviator Dial and a brown watch at the same time. This was the first time I had seen such a bold design that you usually only see in black. I have always loved Aviation Dials but have never to achieve the look without dropping over $1000 for one watch. The T10 comes in around $200 USD which is very reasonable for a Swiss Quartz movement.
