Techne was nice enough to send over a new rotor for the Goshawk that we reviewed back in January. The original rotor that was fitted to the movement was a Basis style rotor that is comes standard on their NATO and canvas strapped models. If you opt for a leather band, the watch is fitted with a more ornate brass rotor referred to as a Primus.
I needed a little help with install so I gave Paul Hubbard a call from WatchOtaku who helped out with the swap. He also posted a step-by-step walkthough of how to perform the operation. Head over to WatchOtaku to see the full post.

If you are looking for a well-priced, unique and customizable watch, the Techne Goshawk maybe your answer. Built with great components and offered with a vast array of bands you choose a watch the way you want it. After two weeks spent with it I was happy with many of the added features that you usually miss on a watch with this price-point.

When it comes to watches under $300USD you usually end up in the quartz category. But Techne has now introduced their new Goshawk automatic that manages to land well south of the $300USD mark with a great array of strap options and a Japanese movement.
